Hi everyone! My name is Vanessa Niño-Tapia and I am the Women’s Resources and Research Center’s Graduate Student Outreach Coordinator. I am a 2nd year MS student in Civil Engineering. I also did my undergrad at UCD so I’ve been here for six years!
One thing I feel is important to share is I believe “expression is the opposite of depression”. I’m proud that I’m an emotional person because it keeps me honest and alive. I love all of me, the good, the bad, the ugly and the beautiful because all of me creates my unique “I AM”. I’m so excited to be working at the Women’s Center because this is all of our university, so why not utilize it, and support it in being a safe, non-restricted place of learning and living. This is YOUR center too, whoever you are, Grad-women, undergrads, allies, faculty, etc. I welcome you to stop by and collaborate with us in making the Women’s Center and especially UCD whatever it is you need/want/would like it to be too.
