While our membership in NAGPS is relatively recent, GSA has been very active in this organization since 2007. Currently, we have two of sixteen seats on the NAGPS Board of Directors: GSA External Chair Marrah Lachowicz-Scroggins serves as Secretary and CIO, and GSA Chair James Hodgson serves as the Legislative Concerns Chair. (In 2008, James served as Ombudsman, and former External Chair Brent Laabs served as Legislative Concerns Chair.)
The NAGPS Western Regional Conference will be held at UC Davis next March, and we'd love to have anyone interested in attendence. Contact Marrah if you are interested in helping out.
GSA has been a crucial part of organizing the NAGPS' Legislative Action Days in Washington, DC. We hope that our over 40 lobby visits to the California Congressional delegation in the last year will lead to positive change.
