Part-Time

This page about part-time registration is one of several that the GSA has put together which concern ongoing enrollment and registration. We've tried to gather info from the registrar's web page and the office of graduate studies pages in order to create a starting place for students trying to figure out part-time registration. Unfortunately there turned out to be very little info available about it. We're still working to get more info for this page. This page is current as of November, 2009. If you discover that any of this info has changed, please let the GSA know or just correct it yourself. This is a wiki after all.

Part-Time Status
Many graduate programs are available on a part-time basis to qualified graduate students who, for reasons of occupation, family responsibility, or health are not able to attend full-time. At present, resident part-time students pay the full registration fee and one-half the educational fee. Nonresident students pay these fees plus one-half of the nonresident tuition. Applicants desiring part-time enrollment in an approved program should file a petition with the Office of the University Registrar immediately after admission. The form can be obtained through the graduate program coordinator.
