The GSA is putting together a team of volunteers for the Summer Games of the Special Olympics of Northern California. Those games will be on the UCD campus on June 26 and 27. GSA has been asked to provide volunteers who will serve as finish line escorts at the track and field competition on Sunday June 27th. There are two shifts that volunteers can work: 6:45am - 10am and 10am-1:45pm. You can do one shift or both. You don't need any special knowledge of track and field events. The SONC folks will direct you. Lunch is provided to all volunteers. The volunteering isn't limited to grad students of course so gather up your friends and family to make a day of helping out at this great event.
