Employment Resources for Graduate Students
On this page, students will find a variety of resources related to their employment at the university. If you are employed as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Associate Instructor (AI), please communicate frequently with your Graduate Coordinator, as they manage your hiring and employment.
UCPath
UCPath is the payroll and human resources management site (as of 2019). Students are encouraged to use existing resources to assist with the transition to UCPath. Please go to the UCPath website to check your employment, paychecks, deductions, and benefits. All campus employees are encouraged to sign up for direct deposit through their bank, as UCPath will mail checks and could take up to four days to deliver.
UAW 2865 – UC Student Workers Union
If you are a Teaching Assistant (TA), your labor benefits are represented by the United Auto Works 2865. We encourage all TAs to consider joining the union, as a greater membership leads to strong contract negotiations. For more information on union membership and its benefits, please visit the UAW 2865 website.
Handshake
Jobs across campus, including Teaching Assistant (TA) and Graduate Student Research (GSR) positions, are posted on Handshake (formerly Aggie Job Link). This is a resource provided through the Internship and Career Center (ICC).
