The GSA Secretary sends out weekly announcements every Monday at 8am through the GSA listserv. GSA reps are responsible for forwarding these announcements to their departments. For access to the GSA listserv, you can go here
There will be no midweek announcements beginning in the 2024-25 academic year. If you are past the deadline, the earliest your advertisement will be included will be the following week. If you are late and is occurring that week, we are unable to run it as an announcement. We recommend going to the ecology-social listserv to distribute it.
If you would like to add an announcement, please email it to gsasecretary@ucdavis.edu no later than 5pm on Sundays. Announcements submitted should follow these guidelines:
- the subject should state that your email is an addition to the GSA weekly announcements (ie, "GSA weekly announcements - please add")
- an event title
- contain a brief description (ideally no more than 300 words--the more succinct, the better) of all necessary info for the event, fundraiser, opportunity, etc. being advertised formatted in plaintext (eg, not in tables). Please also include the name of your group or organization that has organized this event.
- contain relevant contact information; location, if applicable; and important dates
- if hyperlinks are included, they must be embedded
