Sara de Blas Hernandez

Sara is a Ph.D. Candidate in Spanish and Portuguese. Last year, she served as Public Relations Organizing Director and the previous one as Coffee, Bagel, Donut Day (CBDD) Coordinator. She has thoroughly enjoyed both roles for the opportunity to connect more closely with the UC Davis graduate community. This year Sara looks forward to continuing her work in support of graduate students by organizing events that foster connection and community, and by exploring new initiatives to help make the graduate school journey a little smoother. Her advocacy work with GSA focuses on graduate student parents and graduate students living on campus. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reconstructing medieval and early modern recipes, catching up with friends over coffee and sweet treats, and quilting.
